Individuals, couples, families and groups are needed at a beach clean up from 7:30 a.m.-noon Sept. 15 based at the Puako Boat Ramp.
Hosted by Keep Puako Beautiful, participants can dive, kayak, paddle, snorkel or hike for trash. Activities will include litter cleanup, survey and sorting, a recycled art booth, scavenger hunt, Hawaii wildlife education, UXO and cleanup safety. Supplies, water and a snack will be provided. Bring a personal water bottle, gear, shoes, reef friendly sun protection and a dish to share in a lunch potluck.
To reserve a donated tank of air, call Puako Dive Company at 854-4114. To reserve at donated kayak, contact Hawaii Surf & Kayak in advance at 741-7768.
